Edit Metadata

View and change a PDF's title, author, subject and keywords.

Fix the document properties that show up in readers, search results, and file managers. The current title, author, subject, and keywords are pre-filled from your PDF — edit any of them and download the updated file.

Everything runs locally in your browser, so your document is never uploaded. Handy for correcting a wrong author, adding keywords for searchability, or clearing metadata before sharing.

How it works

  1. 1Select or drag in your file
  2. 2Choose your options and click “Edit Metadata”
  3. 3Download the result — everything ran in your browser

Frequently asked questions

Which metadata fields can I change?

Title, Author, Subject, and Keywords. Enter keywords as a comma-separated list. Leave a field blank to clear it.

Does this remove hidden metadata?

It edits the standard document-information fields. To clear a value, empty the field before applying. It does not strip XMP or other embedded metadata streams.

Is my PDF uploaded to edit its metadata?

No. Your file is processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript — it is never uploaded to a server, so nothing can be stored, leaked, or read by anyone else.
