Replace Image

Swap an existing image in a PDF for a new one, in the same spot.

Update a logo, headshot, or diagram without rebuilding the document. The tool finds the images embedded in your PDF and shows them as thumbnails — pick one, upload a replacement, and it takes the original's place at the same position and size on every page it appears.

Everything runs locally in your browser: the original image is swapped out and the new one embedded on your own machine, so nothing is uploaded.

How it works

  1. 1Select or drag in your file
  2. 2Choose your options and click “Replace Image”
  3. 3Download the result — everything ran in your browser

Frequently asked questions

Will the new image be positioned correctly?

Yes. The replacement reuses the original image's placement, so it lands in the same spot at the same size. If your new image has a different aspect ratio, it will stretch to fill that area.

Why isn't a particular image listed?

Only raster images the tool can decode are shown. Vector graphics, and images in formats it doesn't preview yet (e.g. CMYK or indexed color), won't appear.

Is my PDF uploaded to replace an image?

No. Your file is processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript — it is never uploaded to a server, so nothing can be stored, leaked, or read by anyone else.
