Header & Footer

Add running header/footer text with page-number and date placeholders.

Stamp a consistent header and/or footer across a whole document — a title, confidentiality notice, page numbers, or date. Use the placeholders {page}, {pages}, and {date} and they're filled in per page, e.g. “Page 3 of 12”.

The text is drawn locally in your browser with pdf-lib, so nothing is uploaded and the output works in any PDF reader.

How it works

  1. 1Select or drag in your file
  2. 2Choose your options and click “Header & Footer”
  3. 3Download the result — everything ran in your browser

Frequently asked questions

Which placeholders can I use?

{page} for the current page number, {pages} for the total, and {date} for today's date. Any other text is used verbatim.

Can I set only a header or only a footer?

Yes — leave either field blank and it's skipped.

Is my PDF uploaded to add a header/footer?

No. Your file is processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript — it is never uploaded to a server, so nothing can be stored, leaked, or read by anyone else.
